DIPONEGORO WAR
Diponegoro war was awar
that occurred during the five years between 1825-1830. This war is also called
java war. This war led by Prince Diponegoro. Beginning of the war of Diponegoro
is because the dutch have marked on land owned by Prince Diponegoro in the
village Tegalrejo.
At the time against the Netherlands, Prince Diponegoro using
guerrilia warfare strategy and focusing its devense in goa selarong. At the
height of the war, the Dutch who started overwhelmed by the war deployed more
than 23,000 soldiers. And involves all the methods known in a modern war in
1827, the dutch use the castle strategy.
The strategy used by the dutch managed to catch kyai Maja
later Mangkubumi and Ssentot main commander Ali Basya surrendered to the dutch
on march 28, 1827 General De Kock succeeded in pinning Dipnegoro in Magelang. There,
Prince Diponegoro stated that he surrendered on the condition that the rest of
the troops in the release.
Than Prince Diponegoro was arrested and exiled in Manado
than moved in Makasar until his death on January 8, 1855. The war was followed
by his son, said Prince Joned, Ki Sudewo, Diponingrat, and Diponegoro anom. But
unfortunately the efforts of his son’s tragic.
Diponingrat and Diponegoro Anom exiled to Ambon and Ki
